Terms for using INTERCUT.

INTERCUT provides AI-assisted screenplay translation, analysis, and export tools for film and series development review. By uploading material or buying a package, you confirm that you have the rights to process the screenplay, episode, or project materials and that final creative, legal, cultural, and clearance decisions remain your responsibility.

Scope

Translation assistance, not final clearance.

Outputs are designed to accelerate review, packaging, subtitling preparation, and circulation. They are not legal advice, union advice, rights clearance, or a guarantee of final delivery clearance for every market or contractual requirement.

Delivery

Packages cover the selected route.

Single-script packages cover one screenplay or episode, one source language, and one target language. Series bundles cover the included episode routes shown at checkout unless an add-on says otherwise. Generated files are delivered for your review before submission, sale, dubbing, or production use.

Billing

Stripe handles checkout and receipts.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Access to a paid translation starts after checkout confirmation and may be limited if a payment fails, is disputed, or is refunded.

Refunds

Unused packages may qualify for a refund.

If you have not started a paid translation job tied to a purchase, contact support@intercut.app within 14 days of checkout for a refund review. Once a translation job has started processing, the package is considered consumed except where required by law or where we failed to deliver the purchased service.

Confidentiality

Do not upload material you cannot process.

Only upload scripts, bibles, glossaries, or notes that you are authorized to share with INTERCUT and its configured processors. If your project requires a studio NDA, DPA, or vendor onboarding, complete that paperwork before uploading production material.

Privacy

How screenplay material is handled.

Uploads are used to process translation jobs, generate outputs, manage purchases, and provide downloads. In production, screenplay artifacts are stored in private infrastructure and served through authenticated or short-lived backend links.

Private by default

Your screenplay stays attached to your account.

Projects, purchases, job history, and downloads are scoped to the signed-in workspace when authentication is enabled.

Processing

Files are used to complete the requested job.

The app sends script content, selected languages, glossary notes, package choices, and quality settings to the backend and configured AI provider so the translation package can be produced. Production deployments should use an OpenAI project with Zero Data Retention enabled.

Retention

You can delete account material.

Generated artifacts and job records are retained so you can review and download work. Account purge and project deletion flows are designed to remove or shred customer-accessible material, subject to payment records, security logs, backups, and legal retention requirements.

Processors

Core vendors support the service.

Production deployments use Firebase and Google Cloud for identity, storage, compute, and logging; Stripe for payments; and OpenAI for AI processing. Do not upload regulated or restricted material unless your deployment has the required vendor agreements in place.

Security

Controls are designed for confidential scripts.

Production mode requires authentication, App Check, private artifact storage, encryption keys, signed output manifests, short-lived download tokens, and server-side access checks. Report suspected security issues privately to security@intercut.app.

Preview

What does the free preview include?

Upload a screenplay and translate the first six pages at no charge. The preview shows formatting fidelity and translation quality before you purchase a full package.

Formats

Which file types are supported?

TXT, Fountain, FDX, DOCX, and text-based PDF uploads are supported. Scanned PDFs may require manual cleanup; the studio shows parse-confidence warnings when structure detection is uncertain.

Turnaround

How long does a translation take?

Jobs run asynchronously in the background. Typical turnaround depends on script length, selected tier, and enabled analysis passes. Progress updates appear in the Studio while the job runs.

Review

Do I need to review before sharing?

Yes. INTERCUT is designed for development review. Use the Review tab, bilingual viewer, and optional delivery approval gate before circulating exports to partners or funds.

Billing

Is this a subscription?

No. Packages are one-time purchases per script route unless you choose an add-on bundle. Receipts and payment history are available through Stripe and your Account page.
